No matter how you like to come down the mountain, you'll find what you like here at Northstar at Tahoe, located in Trucktree, California. Mt. Pluto is the place for the entire family, featuring a moderate pitch, a variety of options, regular grooming and views of Lake Tahoe. For intermediate cruising, Northwest Territory's soft snow is perfect for any skill level to improve. If you are feeling adventurous head to The Backside for seven uninterrupted one mile runs with loads of freshly groomed powder and bumps or spend some time at Lookout Mountain for plenty of steeps, trees and incredible snow quality. There are two day lodges located mid-summit featuring an outdoor deck, firepits, and scenic picnic sites with awe inspiring views of Lake Tahoe and the mountains surrounding the resort. Northstar’s Jib Park and Upper Mineshaft are two small terrain adventure parks geared for children. The resort offers licensed childcare for children 2 and older.

For time off the slopes, the resort offers a 9000 square foot ice and roller rink on-site as well an Apex Bungy trampoline. The swim and racquet club offers an outdoor heated lap pool, outdoor spas, saunas and a fitness center. Guests of the Northstar Resort can take advantage of the numerous and exciting activities at the teen center and game room.

During the summer months, the Northstar Resort is the home of the most extensive lift-served mountain bike park in the Western United States. The 52 mountain bike trails cover over 100 miles on scenic Mount Pluto and are served by three lifts. For a more relaxed way to enjoy the mountainscape, guests of the resort can enjoy the links on the 18-hole par 72 golf course located in the resort. The angler of the family can enjoy a vacation of fly-fishing at Sawmill Lake, a scenic 10 acre stocked reservoir. Northstar Resort offers summer equestrian activities for all members of the family with trail and pony rides. There are also ten tennis courts at the resort’s state of the art racquet and swim center.

The Village at Northstar offers a wide variety of shopping and dining experiences which will appeal to all the members of the family.
